This meeting will focus on the interplay between inflammation and matrix biology.
Expert speakers from the USA, Europe and the UK will bring us up to speed with new data emerging from cross-talk between these areas of interest. Short talks selected from the submitted abstracts will allow new players in the field to present their data. In addition there will be an open BSMB session where all topics related to matrix biology will be covered.
Poster sessions will be an important component of the meeting, and as with the BSMB open session, are not restricted to inflammation, but open to all aspects of matrix biology.
The BSMB Young Investigator Award Lecture will be given by the 2010 winner of this prestigious award.
All events will be held on the pleasant University of East Anglia campus, with the conference dinner at the world-renowned Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, which is also on campus.
This meeting will be open to members and non-members of the society, and will focus on the latest research findings in tendon biology and pathology.
Delegates may register for both meetings or just for the satellite meeting, which takes place on the 8th September.
The programme for the meeting has been finalised, and there will be contributions from most of the tendon research groups active in the UK.
The keynote speaker is Professor Ronen Schweitzer, Oregon, USA.
